Technique and Choreography Classes
Technique Classes: In this 8 week course you will learn about the different moves and how to execute them properly. This is a great class for beginners since the moves will be broken down and explained. The class is 1 hour long. Just wear your favorite leggings and t-shirt to move around in. A yoga mat, water bottle and hip scarf are great tools to bring as well, but are not required. Want a hip scarf and don't know where to get it. I have lots to choose from at Crossroads Metaphysical Shop. There are also other belly dance goodies to shop.
Choreography Classes: In this 8 week course you will take what you've learned in technique class and apply it to a fun choreography. In the choreography classes you'll have the opportunity to learn to dance with veils, zills and many other exciting props. Learning the choreographies is just one part of the fun. How would you like to perform what you have learned? Tho this is NOT a requirement to perform, you will have the opportunity to perform if you so choose to.
Booking Information
Classic Belly Dance Show~:
Duration: 30 min.
A traditional belly dance show featuring beautiful Isis wings entrance (space permitting), grand veil or fan veil, finger cymbals, double, sword, taqsim (the mesmerizing slow section) & ending with an exciting & engaging drum solo with the dancer's movements interpreting the dynamics of a drum song. Performance time is 20-25 min. with the remaining time spent getting the audience members involved in the fun of the performance. Even the shyest of party goers will find themselves swept away. This is a popular choice for wedding receptions, showers, charity gala events, corporate events & more.
Performance and Lessons~:
Duration: 60 min.
This is a very fun & unique package that is great for Ladies Night Out, corporate events, bridal showers or just to celebrate & try something different & new. Have you ever wondered where belly dancing came from? (Hint: It's not Hollywood). During this time, I will make a short presentation about the fascinating & surprising history of the dance form. This will give your guests a deeper understanding of the dance & how it fits into Middle Eastern culture. If you're interested in trying the dance out with your friends, I will bring coin hip scarves to loan for a fun group lesson that is sure to get everyone moving.
Can be broken down as such:
5 person group (2-5 participants)
10 person group (6-10 participants)
15 person group (11-15 participants)
Weddings~:
Duration: 30 min.
What better way to add something different and exciting to your wedding than to have your very own belly dancer performance. During this 30 min performance I will perform with props such as wings, veil, zills, swords and even a shamadan (candelabrum) if requested. Your guests will be swept away with this mesmerizing dance. This will be a great addition to your wonderful and special day.
Private Belly Dance Lessons~:
Duration: 60 min.
Looking to learn how to belly dance but a traditional class just doesn't work for you? A private lesson is just what you need. It works perfectly around your home & work schedule. I will design a lesson to meet the needs of what you are trying to achieve. Together we can work on drum solos, those isolations and all those wonderful props.
Restaurants and Hookah Lounges~:
Duration: 25-30 min. per set
If you've ever thought about having a dancer at your restaurant, then think no longer. There are many benefits to having a dancer! That's right. I've performed at several restaurants and hookah lounges in the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX, Minneapolis, MN areas and now the Sacramento,CA area. Contact me for details on bringing my dance to you and your restaurant.

Booking Policy
A deposit of 50% is due at time of booking to confirm your reservation. The remaining balance is due before or upon arrival at your event, prior to performance. The deposit holds your time slot as reserved. It is refundable up to two weeks before event, at which point it is non-refundable unless I have to cancel. Be assured that I will only do so in the event of extreme illness or family emergency. A substitute dancer will be arranged if you so desire at the agreed upon fee.
Please be aware that my schedule fills up quickly so try to book your event in advance as much as is possible to reserve your date. Last minute bookings (within 48 hours of the event) will be charged at a higher rate.
As multiple bookings for a dancer on a given night are common; please plan your event carefully and coordinate with me for your reserved performance time. Should times change please notify me immediately, and I will work with you to accommodate to the best of my ability.
I will arrive 10-15 minutes before show time, and will leave promptly after the conclusion of the arranged appearance. Delays not caused by the dancer resulting in a wait time between arrival and performance will be charged at a rate of $25/10 minutes of wait time past the agreed upon show time, and may result in your show being cut short due to other previously booked engagements on that same evening.
Deposits may be secured via PayPal, Square, personal check or company check. Balance may be paid the same way before or on date of event and can be paid via PayPal, Square or cash only. Please contact me at zuhrakiya1@gmail.com for booking and payment arrangements.

Middle Eastern dance is a social and family friendly art form that celebrates and empowers women as such I DO NOT perform at ANY all male events.
Cancellation Policy
In the event of cancellation client must give more than 48 hours notice. The half payment made to secure the date is non-refundable. The remaining amount is refundable if and only if the client prepaid. If notice is given after 48 hours the full amount will be non-refundable. If full amount has not been paid then client will be charged for remaining amount. My schedule fills up quickly and in the event of a cancellation I need to be able to adjust accordingly.
If I need to cancel please be assured that I will only do so in extreme emergency. I can either offer you another performer at the agreed upon amount or I can reschedule.
